With experience managing a small family business, Maria and sister Rabiah Usman are ready to take on their next endeavour -- bringing #HappierAging to Newmarket, Ontario!In the lead up to their launch, the duo took a moment to answer a few questions so that we could get to know them a little better and share their story. Read on to meet our newest Franchisees!Tell us about yourselves - what previous experience prepared you, and/or made you want to get into this business?Maria: Both my professional and personal life experiences have led me to want to join Nurse Next Door in order to continue to help others in their time of need. Growing up with my mother, a doctor, she always shared her passion for working in nursing and retirement homes to help the aging population get the top quality care they need and deserve. I've also been volunteering for charitable organizations for as long as I can remember in order to give back to my community and those in need. This felt like the Perfect Match.†What need is there for home care in your community?We believe that there is always a need to add quality care and #HappierAging to the community.†

Why did you choose to start a Nurse Next Door franchise?†Nurse Next Door was recommended by a friend of the family. After doing some research on other home care companies it became clear to us that there is no other franchise that cares about people and customizes care the way Nurse Next Door does.In your words, what sets Nurse Next Door apart from the rest?†Itís got that #BoldPink brand that can be seen in any crowd, but for us it really comes down to the #HappierAging philosophy. Not only is it a company that provides healthcare, they also genuinely care for their Clients and Caregivers.†What does Happier Aging mean to you?Happier Aging is the ability to age gracefully with autonomy and the ability to hold onto aspects of life that always bring joy to our clients.
