Nurse Next Door launches in Langley and Abbotsford, BC

We're excited to announce that Nurse Next Door is now bringing Happier Aging to the communities of Langley and Abbotsford, BC! After a long and successful career spanning across Operations, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources, Franchisee Kristina Bradley is following her dreams of business ownership and embarking on this next exciting chapter. Let's get to know Kristina!

Why did you choose to start a Nurse Next Door franchise?

I worked in the same organization for 18 years, and I saw the opportunity to fulfill my dream of being a business owner after COVID-19 closures impacted my senior marketing role. I chose Nurse Next Door because the organization's core purpose, values and culture reflect my own: Admiring people. Providing a WOW customer experience. Finding a better way to provide services with creativity. Being passionate about making a difference.

Tell us about your goals - what are you excited about?

My goal is to be an employer of choice for Caregivers and Nurses in the Langley and Abbotsford areas. My favourite part of work has always been the people side. I enjoy meeting people, listening to their stories and helping them to achieve their goals. Being a Nurse Next Door Franchisee allows me to combine my passion for people with my skills honed in a Leadership Master's Degree to create a diverse team based on trust, compassion and spirited individual growth.

And by providing the Happier Aging experience, we will attract and retain quality Caregivers who are proud to be part of our unique offering. I'm excited about building a solid base of clients and helping them to live happily at home!

What need is there for home care in your community?

Many people are not aware that there are options other than assisted living or long term care facilities. There is an opportunity to engage families in creating a better version of aging well at home.

Lastly, what does Happier Aging mean to you?

To me, Happier Aging means looking forward to each day, and being engaged in something fun and meaningful. I believe that by living Happier Aging, we can profoundly impact our lives and the lives of those around us. By going beyond basic home care, we keep people safe and happy in their homes. We help them maintain their level of independence, and give them choice in what they do, helping them live their best life.
